The College of Fine Arts was established for the academic year (2023-2024). The college works to provide students with the scientific and artistic aspects, offering education in accordance with the best educational systems, and supplying modern auxiliary resources to contribute to achieving its desired mission. The college accepts preparatory study for the branches (literary, biological and Applied) Institute of Fine Arts, Applied Arts, Industry, Commerce, Agriculture, Institute of Crafts, Folk Arts, Preparatory Fine Arts. The duration of study is four year, including the Interior Design Department.<\/p>\n


\nExamination system at the College of Fine Arts:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The examination system in the College of Arts follows the semester system. Subjects are distributed between theoretical, practical, and applied categories, encompassing both practical and theoretical aspects. The division of grades varies according to the type of subject.<\/p>\n


\nInterior Design Department<\/strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Interior Design Department produces a generation of designers who create engineering designs that embody art, creativity and innovation, as it works to generate design energies with productive and creative thinking fostering a future academic outlook on design. Designers specialize in designing and supervising the implementation of projects for various interior space, including residential and commercial for serving the targeted groups of the design while presented in accordance with rules consistent with the engineering of the human body and functional and aesthetic requirements. The department follows up on graduates and supports them with seminars, workshops in the field of design, and keeps up with technological developments in the field of specialization and its corresponding specializations.<\/p>\n


\nVision<\/strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The college aims to raise the scientific level of graduates, increase their knowledge of design systems, and expand perceptions of artistic creativity combined with engineering, distinguishing this specialty. Students are trained to deal with design dimensions, analyze and study the requirements of the target groups. Postgraduate studies (Master\u2019s and Doctorate) are also available in Iraq in the specializations of interior design.<\/p>\n


\nThe message:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The college seeks to choose the best modern academic methods in delivering information to the student, keeping pace with design development, and enhancing knowledge accumulation among students and researchers through a distinguished academic staff of faculty members and researchers. It provides students with scientific and practical experiences through designs and projects implemented by students with supervision and follow-up. The college guides and trains professors to work on residential and commercial designs of various types and functions.<\/p>\n


\nObjectives<\/strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Preparing design cadres specialized in interior design with scientific experience and design competence to serve target parties and those who benefit from the design.<\/li>\n
  2. Contributing to highlighting the importance of interior design, which is in direct contact with the occupants of the space, reflecting in their perceptions and psychological dimensions by developing the theoretical and practical aspects of interior design.<\/li>\n
  3. Supporting government departments by working in engineering departments with competent staff that contribute to producing a design environment that achieves function and beauty that supports architectural designs, and by cooperating with them, achieves design efficiency.<\/li>\n
  4. Attracting graduates of preparatory school – the scientific and literary stream, as well as preparatory commerce, fine arts, preparatory industry, and commerce.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    – Working in all ministries within engineering departments<\/p>\n

    – Art education teacher in secondary school<\/p>\n

    – Teacher at fine arts institutes<\/p>\n

    – Working in engineering companies within the field of interior design<\/p>\n

    – Preparing designs, supervising their implementation, and providing design consultations.<\/p>\n

    – Working in companies designing kitchens and furniture and everything related to public and private interior spaces<\/p>\n

    – Belonging to the Artists Syndicate<\/p>\n

    The above list does not cover all the jobs that our graduates can get, as they can work in different places due to mastery of design and other personal skills.<\/p>\n<\/div>
