Hasan Hadi<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Abstract<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The study included collection of 40 samples from patients suffering chronic tonsillitis. Samples were taken from Al-Bayan University students. The patients&#8217; age was ranged from (18-25) years whose separated by gender 20 male and 20 female.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Aims<\/strong><strong>: <\/strong>to determine the Minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs) of Lomefloxacin antibiotic against isolated bacteria from chronic tonsillitis patients and to determine the types of this isolated bacteria.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Results: <\/strong>From 40 tonsil swab there were only four bacteria <em>Streptococcus<\/em>pyogenes and the other was <em>Staphylococcus aureus<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The MIC of Lomefloxacin against bacteria was at Concentration 100 ml\/L when size of inoculum was 200 \u03bcg.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Conclusion<\/strong>: the results of the present <em>in vitro <\/em>study suggest that of Lomefloxacin has good activity against bacteria isolated from patients suffering from chronic tonsillitis caused by two genus <em>streptococcus pyrogens <\/em>and <em>staphylococcus aureus<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><em>Full article is published in Journal of Al-Bayan University Issue0, 2019<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hassanain Sahib, Abdulrahman M.
