On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, the Women’s Empowerment Unit at the Technical Engineering College organized a scientific symposium titled “Violence and Cyberbullying Against Women.” The symposium was presented by Dr. Ban Salman Shukur, Head of the Women’s Affairs Unit at the Technical Engineering College, on Sunday, November 25, 2024.<\/p>\n
The symposium aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of electronic abuse and cyberbullying, enhance digital security by protecting personal data, encourage positive interaction on the Internet, and provide safe reporting mechanisms to reduce the risks of various forms of digital violence against women.<\/p>\n
Additionally, the symposium recommended increasing awareness and education about the dangers of digital violence, providing psychological and social support to victims, encouraging victims to report incidents to security authorities, and developing policies and laws that penalize digital violence and offer means of protection.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
