In the Biochemistry and Clinical Chemistry Laboratory of the College of Health and Medical Techniques, an educational workshop was held on how to measure blood sugar. The workshop was supervised by the assistant lecturers Youssef Nazim Abbas and Hiba Khaled Zubairi. Among the important points discussed at the workshop were: 1- Methods of detecting each type of diabetes
\n2- The primary causes of diabetes, whether they are immune-mediated (as in type 1) or other complications (as in type 2).
\n3- How to differentiate between different types of diabetes and gestational diabetes.
\n4- Ways to prevent the disease and how to reduce complications for those with diabetes.<\/p>\n
