The College of Pharmacy, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center at Al-Bayan University, organized a training course entitled:
\n“Laboratory Errors and Their Impact on the Accuracy of Medical Test Results”
\nThe course was presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Asawir Hassan Najm and Lecturer Dr. Ahmed Hamid Salman at the Continuing Education Hall in the College of Pharmacy over two days, October 17\u201318, 2026.
\nThe course addressed the most prominent errors that can occur during the pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases, as well as their impact on the accuracy and reliability of medical test results. It focused on error detection and reduction strategies to ensure the quality of laboratory testing and patient safety.
\nThe course aimed to:
\n\u2022Distinguish between errors occurring before, during, and after the analytical phase.
\n\u2022Understand the impact of errors on the accuracy and reliability of medical test results.
