The Engineering Technical College – Al-Bayan University participated in the initial events of the Youth and Agricultural Future Conference in Iraq, which commenced in Baghdad on Wednesday, March 6th, 2024, at the Baghdad International Fairground, under the slogan ‘Youth-led Leadership in the Agriculture, Food, and Climate Sector.’ The conference, sponsored by Prime Minister Engineer Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani, head of the Supreme Youth Council, is scheduled to take place from March 6th to March 8th, 2024.
The opening ceremony of the conference was attended by Assistant Professor Mohannad Sameer Al-Sudani, Dean of the Engineering Technical College, along with the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs and a distinguished group of students from the Department of Computer Engineering Technologies, as well as governmental, official, parliamentary figures, youth ambassadors, and representatives from various organizations.
The opening ceremony began with the republican salute and the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and Surah Al-Fatiha in remembrance of the martyrs of Iraq. Innovative agricultural practices, modern farming techniques, initiatives in agricultural innovation incubators, development needs, and training in various agricultural aspects were discussed during the event.
The conference, the first of its kind, aims to embrace youth and provide them with opportunities to contribute to the building of the new Iraq.”
