Welcome to the College of Education at Al-Bayan University!
I take an honor and a privilege in the central role that the College of Education plays in fulfilling Al-Bayan University’s mission and course of action as it seeks to improve the education system in Iraq. We are a diverse and thriving teaching and learning community committed to promoting excellence and preparing tomorrow’s teachers, educators, scholars, and leaders. I am also very proud of the steady growth and progress we have achieved, as this inspires all of us to work harder and exert more assiduous efforts in the service of our country, humanity, knowledge, and scholarship. We currently offer a Bachelor of Education in English Language.
In carrying out its mission, the College of Education offers high-quality specialized degree programs and university core requirement courses designed to prepare students to meet the needs of the job market, according to internationally recognized criteria. It is determined to educate and prepare citizens who can serve the community. The College of Education provides a supportive learning environment designed to meet the highest international standards. By conducting research, training, and other activities, the College continues to cultivate, build, and maintain strong and effective relations with the community and stakeholders.
Our goal is to enhance our existing programs as well as develop new, high-demand undergraduate and graduate programs focused on education and humanities in the coming semesters.
At the College of Education, we are committed to enhancing your educational experience by investing in the development of our academic staff; engaging our students in community services and research; keeping our education curriculum up to date; and hiring outstanding faculty who are accomplished researchers and teachers.
With the start of the academic year come joy and motivation, but also new challenges that can turn into opportunities and accomplishments to rejoice. At the College of Education, we try to give our students the best educational opportunities that will arouse their ambitions and help materialize their goals. I wish all our students success in their studies, and I urge them to try their best to acquire the knowledge and academic skills crucial for success in their future lives. No less important are the social skills and experience gained from interaction with faculty, or gleaned through relevant activities organized by the College, in the service of Iraq. In so doing, they will all take part in the future growth and development of Iraq. Indeed, building human capital is the most noble and most important objective of the College of Education since it is the most fundamental component of life on earth.
