The Department of Computer Engineering Techniques (CET) was established at the Technical College of Engineering in the academic year (2023-2024) as a technical engineering department to prepare specialized professionals in the fields of computer networks and digital communication systems. This includes modern technologies related to digital electronics, digital processing, and electronic control systems. The department accepts graduates from the preparatory stage in both scientific branches (biology and applied), as well as graduates from vocational education in computer, electronics, and information technology specialties. The study duration is four years, and upon completion, the graduate is awarded a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering Technologies.

The applied academic program focuses on teaching and practically training students in specialized subjects. The general specialization is divided into two branches: Computer Communication Networks and Computer Electronics. Students choose their specialization after successfully completing the third stage. The curriculum includes both general and specialized engineering requirements, enabling students to deal with challenges in the field of computer engineering technologies.

Graduates are capable of designing and implementing computer systems, dealing with electronic systems and control systems using computers, and managing computer networks. After completing the program, graduates receive a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering Technologies, and employment opportunities are high in the local market.
