The College of Nursing organized a scientific awareness seminar titled “The Dangers of Childhood Obesity,” held at the College’s Continuing Education Hall. The session was delivered by Prof. Dr. Afifa Radha Aziz.
The seminar addressed the medical definition of childhood obesity, providing a detailed explanation of its primary causes, encompassing both physiological and behavioral factors. Furthermore, the lecture highlighted the serious repercussions of this phenomenon and its negative impact on the child’s physical and psychological well-being. It emphasized the necessity of implementing early prevention measures and the importance of health education to curb the prevalence of obesity in society.
