On the occasion of the World Environment Day, the College of Law at Al-Bayan University organized a scientific workshop entitled: (Awareness of issues that preserve the environment) on Sunday (December 22, 2019) in the central hall of the university. The speaker, Prof. Dr. Saja Muhammad Abbas Al-Fadhili, defined environmental pollution and defined the concept of the environment and pollution. The lecture also dealt with the axes of the relevant legislation to protect environment, legal regulation on a local and international basis, natural and built environment, linguistic definition, legal definition of pollution, types of pollution, and damages resulting from it, preserving order, state responsibility in preserving the ecosystem, the system in its modern stage and the citizen’s role in preserving the environment.

At the end of the workshop, the President of the University (Prof. Dr. Kazem Abdul-Amir Al-Zaidi) presented a certificate of appreciation to the speaker.
