Under the guidance of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Health and Environment, Al-Bayan University today hosted a seminar for the environmental awareness program on the project (planting a million trees in Iraq), one of the governmental and environmental work program projects, and achieving part of the United Nations Sustainability Development Goals.

During which the President of Al-Bayan University (Prof. Dr. Abdul-Jabbar Ahmed Abdullah) gave a speech about this important project in maintaining a clean and pure environment throughout the country, especially the capital, Baghdad, in addition to a lecture and presentation for each of the director of the Million Tree Planting Project and the representative of the Ministry of Education (Dr. Afaq Ibrahim Jumaa), the representative of the Ministry of Health and Environment, Senior Chief Engineer (Ali Akab Al-Samah), and the committee to follow up on the implementation of the project at Al-Bayan University, represented by the head of the committee (Prof. Dr. Intisar Tariq Numan), the university’s Vice President for Academic Affairs, and its members are branch chief Medicines and medicinal plants in the College of Pharmacy (MD, Ruaa Aziz), Director of the Scientific Affairs Department (M.Huda Ghassan Hamid), and the teaching staff in the College of Pathological Analysis (M.M. Ali Saad), in cooperation and coordination with the Department of Media and Relations in The university, represented by its teaching chair at the College of Law (Eng. Ziad Tariq Shuli), activities and an introductory video presentation about the university’s halls and squares, and the distribution of seeds for attendees under the slogan (Join us planting trees) is an encouraging initiative for Al-Bayan University for agriculture and afforestation in various regions. This symposium came after coordination from a member of the project follow-up committee and a member of communication with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry Division (Eng. Hoda Ghassan Hamid), Director of the Scientific Affairs Department.

The event witnessed a remarkable presence of the staff of Al-Bayan University, headed by the Vice President for Academic Affairs (Prof. Intisar Tariq Numan), the Vice President for Administrative Affairs (Prof. Haider Talib Al-Amara), deans of the faculties, and heads of departments.
