Second side: Al-Bayan University represented by Vice chancellor Prof. Dr. Intisar Tarik Noaman Karam Al-Taai
Al-Bayan University and the Islamic University of Lebanon hereby enter into this general agreement to foster international cooperation in education and research. This agreement creates productive and positive long term relationship can be built as well as bringing together expertise and academic training for both students and academic staff.
- Both Universities agreed to carry out activities aimed at developing academic, scientific and cultural projects for the benefit of academic staff, students and administrators. In addition, appoint coordinators for the work of this memorandum to communicate, follow up, implement and evaluate its provisions.
- Both universities shall cooperate in the following areas:
- Exchanging of academic and research activities.
- Organizing workshops for training academic staff, students, and administrators.
- Achieving a full and equal partnership in projects that lead to the development of capabilities and competencies in the academic and administrative units.
- Organizing conferences, seminars and academic meetings.
- Both universities arranged exchanging of academic staff to the Center of Scientific Research and Studies and the centers of sustainable educational development.
- Both signatories exchange visits of administrative members for exchanging experiences, and determine the number, terms of reference, duration and timing of the visit.
- Both universities exchange books, publications, scientific periodicals and the results of scientific research in scientific journals.
- The two parties keep the protection of intellectual property rights in accordance with the laws and regulations of both countries.
- The financial and administrative matters related to any activity shall be agreed upon by direct communication between the universities.
- In case of adding a new rule or making any amendment in the memorandum, this shall be agreed upon prior between both sides.
- The agreement is valid from the date of its signature by both sides and for three years with possibility of renewal. Both sides have right to terminate the agreement by written letter at least six months before the date of its expiry.
- The two sides agree that the settlement of disputes arising from the application or interpretation of the provisions of this memorandum shall be by direct agreement between the contracting parties.
- In case the agreement canceled or suspended, the two sides agree to continue the activities that had begun to be implemented until their completion.
- This agreement has been signed in Khaldeh on 10/11/2020 , which corresponding 23 Rabi’ al-Awal 1442.
