Sponsored by the President of Al-Bayan University, Prof. Dr. Abdul-Jabbar Ahmed, the College of Pharmacy held a scientific symposium entitled (Common Problems in Dispensing Permitted Treatments Without a Prescription) on Wednesday 7/7/2021, in the presence of the Scientific Assistant to the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Intisar Al-Tai, and the Administrative Assistant, Prof. Haider Talib The emirate, the deans of faculties, university professors and a group of students of the Faculty of Pharmacy.

The symposium was attended by the assistant teacher Ikhlas Khammas Hassan, where she addressed the issue of some treatments and what diseases caused by using them without consulting the specialist doctor.

The assistant teacher, Mohamed Khaled Abboud, also lectured, where he dealt with how to use the treatments that are allowed to be used without a medical prescription.

The symposium included a theatrical performance by a group of students, in which they embodied the current reality of the patient when he asks for medicine from the pharmacy, and how the pharmacist deals with him in describing treatments and alerting him about some wrong uses.

It is worth noting that Al-Bayan University strives to provide the correct information and consolidate the concepts of science and knowledge in the community.
