Al-Bayan University’s main central hall recently hosted a conference titled: “Children Linked to ISIS: Data Tracking and Prospective Solutions,” organized by the Al-Bayan Center for Studies and Planning. The event was attended by the University President, Prof. Dr. Haider Talib Al-Amarah, along with his academic and administrative deputies, college deans, faculty members, and students from various departments.

The conference saw significant governmental representation, including officials from the Ministry of Migration and Displacement, former ministers, and delegates from other ministries. International organizations and missions also participated, with representatives from the United Nations (UN), the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), embassy representatives, as well as a distinguished group of activists and academic researchers specializing in this field.

The conference’s panel discussions focused on methods to address the issues left by ISIS, specifically related to children affiliated with the organization, and the strategies needed to launch a comprehensive action plan to resolve these complex issues. The conference concluded with actionable recommendations that will be presented to relevant authorities as a detailed proposal for addressing this pressing matter.

In line with its commitment to community engagement and enhancing public welfare, Al-Bayan University actively conducts outreach programs aimed at promoting health and well-being within the local community. These initiatives, which include student volunteering programs, focus on various aspects such as hygiene, nutrition, family planning, sports, exercise, aging, and other topics related to health and well-being.
