As part of its ongoing academic activities, the Technical Engineering College at Al-Bayan University held an awareness-focused scientific seminar titled “Digital Drugs: Their Dangers and Future Impacts,” aimed at raising awareness about this modern form of digital addiction and its effects on individuals and society.
The seminar was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Mohanad Sameer Al-Sodani, Dean of the Technical Engineering College, along with the Assistant Deans for Scientific and Administrative Affairs, several faculty members, and students.
The lecture introduced the concept of digital drugs, explaining how they operate through audio frequencies that affect the nervous system. It also presented key studies warning against their use, especially among young people. The seminar further addressed the long-term consequences of this type of addiction, preventive strategies, and the role of educational institutions in raising awareness.
The event concluded with an open discussion session, which enriched the topic and saw active participation from attendees through comments and questions—highlighting the importance of embracing digital awareness as a vital part of university culture.
