Pharmacy Research Panel at the Third Al-Bayan Scientific Conference

The Pharmacy Research Panel, as part of the proceedings of the Third Al-Bayan Scientific Conference, witnessed the discussion of a number of research papers both electronically and in-person from Oman and Sudan, in addition to other local studies from Mosul, Al-Hadba, and Baghdad. The research papers were distributed across several scientific committees covering various pharmaceutical fields. It is worth noting that the College of Pharmacy was awarded the Excellence Shield for two research papers at the conclusion of the conference.

‏Training Course Entitled: Implementation of the European EFQM Institutional Excellence Model in Universities

‏Based on the decision of the Council of Ministers and under the supervision of the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Authority at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Assistant Professor Dr. Shahbaa Shafiq from the College of Pharmacy and Head of the Performance Evaluation Division at the University participated in the training course organized by the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers. The course focused on the implementation of institutional performance evaluation standards according to the European Excellence Model (EFQM) and was held in Erbil Governorate during the period from April 12 to 17, 2025.

The Continuing Education Center, in collaboration with the College of Pharmacy, organized a training course on the fifth and sixth of April, 2025 delivered by Assistant Lecturer Al-Hussain Safaa Hussein and Assistant Lecturer Maha Hikmat Philip. The course was held in the Continuing Education Hall at the College of Pharmacy. During the session, participants were introduced to the ketogenic diet—a nutritional system that primarily focuses on the consumption of healthy fats while significantly reducing carbohydrate intake, thereby enabling the body to burn stored fat more efficiently. On Tuesday, March 18, 2025, the College of Pharmacy held a scientific seminar titled "Bilosome Nanovesicles as a Drug Delivery System." The seminar was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Ahmed Hamed and Assistant Lecturer Maha Hikmat Philip in the Continuing Education Hall at the College of Pharmacy, with the presence of the respected Dean and a group of esteemed faculty members.
