The College of Nursing at Al-Bayan University is one of the colleges of the medical group and accepts graduates of the preparatory school (the scientific branch) and graduates of nursing academies with specific rates and the duration of the study is four years. Our health institutions from the Iraqi centers and hospitals suffer from a shortage of nursing staff. To meet the need, the university decided to open the college with the availability of specialized teaching staff, classrooms, and private nursing laboratories, which include the nursing basics laboratory, the adult laboratory, and the Maternal and Child health laboratory. The college’s first group of students graduated in the academic year 2020-2021.

The Faculty of Nursing at Al Bayan University is working to create and provide excellent nurses for nursing work based on scientific research and a modern vision in the field of the nursing profession.
Mission
The College is looking forward to the development of specialized nursing staff with advanced cognitive skills and skills capable of carrying professional responsibility efficiently and efficiently through providing comprehensive nursing care, preventive, therapeutic and rehabilitative for the individual, family, and society, conducting scientific research on health problems and being an excellent center for nursing education and training.
Objectives
Providing a new generation of nurses with the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their work in all health and educational institutions requires building a distinguished scientific base that enables our students to be distinguished in the field of nursing with the development of their professional behavioural aspects.
Outputs
The Faculty of Nursing is awarded a bachelor’s degree in nursing sciences after completing the student (140) units of study for four years, most of which are taught in English, where the student studies various nursing, medical and humanitarian courses to qualify him to practice the nursing profession for all sectors and health and educational institutions.
