On Sunday, February 16, 2025, the Technical Engineering College at Al-Bayan held a scientific seminar titled “The Phenomenon of Drug Abuse and Its Impact on Students’ Academic Performance.” The event was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Mohanad Sameer Al Sodani, Dean of the College, and Dr. Nouf Thabit, Scientific Assistant, along with several faculty members and students.

The seminar was presented by Dr. Hassan Al-Juwari and Assistant Lecturer Rasool Mohammed Fadhil, who discussed the causes of drug abuse among students and its negative effects on academic achievement. They also highlighted effective strategies to combat this phenomenon and ways to raise awareness about its dangers.

The event saw significant engagement from attendees, with discussions focusing on possible solutions to limit drug abuse within student communities. The importance of educational institutions and society in promoting awareness and providing proper guidance to students was emphasized.

At the end of the seminar, the Dean of the College praised the efforts of the organizers and speakers, stressing the importance of continuing such awareness initiatives.
