Under the theme (Pink October), the global Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the College of Nursing – Al-Bayan University officially announces the launch of a comprehensive series of educational and health activities throughout the month of October.
This academic and community initiative aims to achieve the following objectives:
1. Disseminating Health Awareness: Providing the community with the latest evidence-based information on risk factors, prevention methods, and the importance of healthy nutrition.
2. Promoting Early Detection: Encouraging women to regularly perform self-examinations, clinical screenings, and mammograms, recognizing these as the primary defense line for increasing recovery rates.
3. Supporting Patients and Survivors: Enhancing psychological and social support for individuals currently battling and those who have recovered from cancer, affirming the University’s role in social responsibility.
The College of Nursing firmly believes that awareness is the first line of defense against cancer and seeks, through its faculty and students, to embed the culture of early detection as an essential component of preventive healthcare to safeguard women’s health.
