In affirmation of its pioneering role in supporting the health sector and scientific research, a delegation from the College of Nursing, Al-Bayan University, headed by Prof. Dr. Wafaa Mohammed Atouf, Dean of the College of Nursing, participated in the activities of the Third Scientific Conference of the Iraqi Cancer Board 2025, organized by the Iraqi Ministry of Health.
The participating delegation included Prof. Dr. Hassanein Faisal Ghazi, Scientific Associate Dean of the College, and Lecturer Dr. Wissam Issam Abdul Masih, Rapporteur of the College. The conference was officially inaugurated and attended by His Excellency the Minister of Health.
The conference, held under the patronage of the Ministry of Health, aimed to discuss the latest scientific and clinical developments in the diagnosis, treatment, and control of cancer in Iraq. The delegation’s participation reflected the College’s commitment to enhancing partnership with governmental institutions, particularly the Ministry of Health, and exchanging expertise and knowledge with researchers and specialist physicians, thereby serving the development of nursing and preventive services for cancer patients in the country.
Through these active participations, the College of Nursing seeks to keep pace with global advancements in healthcare and elevate the academic and professional level of its faculty and students.
