The College of Nursing at Al-Bayan University, represented by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Wafaa Mohammed Attoof, and the Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Hasanain Faisal Ghazi, participated in the applied workshop entitled, “Application of the Bologna Process in Nursing Colleges: An Applied Vision for the Curriculum.”
The workshop, organized by the Council of Deans of Nursing Colleges in Iraq, was hosted by the College of Nursing at the University of Baghdad.
This participation is part of the academic and institutional preparations for the implementation of the Bologna Process in the nursing specialization, which is scheduled to commence in the 2025-2026 academic year.
Key Outcomes
The workshop aimed to achieve several primary objectives, most notably:
1.⁠ ⁠Reviewing the practical mechanisms and unified application frameworks for nursing curricula, in accordance with the requirements of the Bologna Process.
2.⁠ ⁠Discussing the readiness of nursing colleges and the necessary logistical and academic preparations to ensure a smooth and effective transition to the new system.
3.⁠ ⁠Unifying the visions of nursing college deans in Iraq to address anticipated challenges and establish a clear roadmap for implementation.
