The Council of the College of Nursing at Al-Bayan University held its fourth regular session for the academic year 2025-2026 on October 28, 2025, chaired by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Wafaa Mohammed Attoof, and with the full attendance of the Council members.
Topping the session’s agenda was the extensive discussion of the mechanisms for adopting and implementing the “Bologna Process” for first-year students who will begin their studies at the college starting in the 2025-2026 academic year. This step comes in response to the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to modernize educational systems and align them with international standards.
The Council also discussed a number of pressing student issues, including return requests submitted by students with suspended registration. Each case was reviewed in accordance with the official and effective regulations and instructions.
In addition, the session included the review and discussion of other topics on the agenda related to scientific and administrative affairs and the organization of the educational process in the college. The Council took the necessary decisions and recommendations regarding these matters.
Key Session Outcomes:
* Developing a procedural guide for the implementation of the “Bologna Process” and commencing the necessary logistical and academic preparations.
* Adjudicating return requests: Resolving the cases of students with suspended registration after studying each request individually, and making appropriate decisions in accordance with applicable systems and instructions.
* Organizing administrative affairs: Approving a set of recommendations aimed at developing administrative and scientific performance, ensuring the smooth flow of academic work during the current academic year.
