The continuing education unit held a training course for students of the Department of Medical Laboratory Techniques under the title (How to prepare Agricultural Media and bacterial cultivation), attended by Lec.Dr.Maytham Jabouri Abdul Hussein, co-dean for Scientific Affairs and Dr.Ali Saad Kadhim. The training course focused on the importance of bacterial transplantation in laboratories and the extent of its impact on confirming the clinical diagnosis during laboratory tests, and the most important outputs gained by students are the following :
1-Introducing the student to the concept of agricultural circles and their importance in the growth of microorganisms, with an explanation of their components and the method of their synthesis.
2-clarification of the most common types of Agricultural Media used in the cultivation of bacteria and the characteristics of each of them.
3-introducing the student to the basic techniques and scientific practices followed in the cultivation of bacteria inside the laboratory.
4-enabling the student to prepare agricultural circles in practice and implement the steps of growing bacteria according to the correct laboratory standards.
