Coinciding with World Drug Safety Week, and under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy / Al-Bayan University, Assist. Prof. Dr. Hassanain Sagban Taghi, the College of Pharmacy/ the Continuing Education organized an awareness lecture on (Pharmacovigilance).
The lecture was delivered by Specialist Pharmacist Jaafar Abdul Hussein Atiyah from the Baghdad Health Directorate – Karkh / Pharmacovigilance Division, on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
The lecture addressed the concept of pharmacovigilance as an early warning system for human health, contributing to the promotion of the safe and rational use of medicine.
This event is part of the College of Pharmacy’s commitment to enhancing drug awareness and consolidating drug safety concepts among students and the community, stemming from its academic responsibility to support the principles of public health and the safe use of medicine.
