Based on the keenness of the college of Health and Medical Techniques to promote community awareness and consolidate the concepts of human rights among students, the college of Health and Medical Techniques organized a lecture entitled (The Right to health and education as basic human rights), in which the lecturer Abeer Saad Hussein lectured, where the lecture touched on the right to health and the right to education as one of the most basic rights guaranteed by international charters and national legislation. This lecture aims to highlight the importance of providing health and educational services to all without discrimination, and the role of academic and health institutions in supporting these rights and ensuring their continuity. The lecture also seeks to develop a culture of rights and duties among students and encourage them to contribute to building a society that ensures justice, equality and decent living for all its members, and the lecture emphasized the following points:
1-the student appreciates the importance of justice and equality on health and education services
2-adopt a positive trend towards supporting initiatives that promote basic human rights
3-to feel responsible towards spreading awareness of the importance of Health and education as the rights of every individual without discrimination.
4.⁠ ⁠distinguish between international and national legal frameworks that guarantee the right to health and education (such as the Universal Declaration of human rights and the International Covenant on economic, social and cultural rights).
5-to compare the experiences of different countries in promoting these two rights.
