The College of Health and Medical Techniques/continuing education unit organized a training course on how to measure blood pressure, which aimed to develop students ‘ skills in using pressure measuring devices and identifying the correct methods to read the results and deal with various cases. And it was presented by (lecturer Dalal Aref Salman, lecturer Heba Khaled zubeiri and lecturer Yousif Nazim Abbas) This course came within the framework of the college’s keenness to enhance the applied aspects and raise the efficiency of students through practical and continuous training programs.

1-the trainee acquires basic knowledge of the physiology of blood pressure and the factors affecting it.
2-the trainee gets acquainted with the types of hypertension and its primary and secondary causes.
3-the trainee Masters the skills of measuring blood pressure in various ways (Mercury – pneumatic – electronic)
4-the trainee understands the health risks of high blood pressure and the complications associated with it.
5-the trainee evaluates the readings and learns the cases that need quick intervention or special follow-up.
