The Dean of the College of Education at Al-Bayan University, Prof. Dr. Haider Jabr Koban, accompanied by the Assistant Dean, Asst. Prof. Dr. Shamim Ahmad Banani, and Asst. lect. Laa’li Muammer Ibrahim, participated in the academic symposium organized by the Department of English Language, College of Education for Women, University of Baghdad, on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, entitled:
“The Art of Teaching and Brain-Based Teaching.”
The symposium explored the concept of Brain-Based Teaching—an instructional approach informed by current research on how the brain learns, processes information, and retains knowledge—and highlighted its significance in advancing English language teaching. Emphasis was placed on leveraging recent scientific insights into brain function to enhance student motivation, increase engagement, and improve academic performance.
This participation reflects Al-Bayan University’s commitment to strengthening its academic presence, fostering scientific cooperation with other Iraqi universities, and contributing to the exchange of contemporary educational practices that support the development of the teaching and learning process.
