The College of Health and Medical Techniques/ continuing education unit organized a specialized training course on how to prepare culture Media and grow bacteria, where it was presented by (Lecturer.Dr.Maitham Jabouri Abdul Hussein and Dr.Ali Saad Kadhim)
The course included a practical explanation of the stages of preparation and preparation of cultural circles, their types, and sterilization methods, in addition to practical applications in the cultivation and diagnosis of bacteria inside educational laboratories.
This course aims to raise the efficiency of students in laboratory aspects and enhance their skills in the field of modern laboratory techniques.
Course or lecture objectives:
1-Introducing the student to the concept of cultural circles and their importance in the growth of microorganisms, with an explanation of their components and the method of their synthesis.
2-clarifying the most common types of culture Media used in the cultivation of bacteria and the characteristics of each of them.
3-introducing the student to the basic techniques and scientific practices followed in the cultivation of bacteria inside the laboratory.
4-enabling the student to practically prepare the cultural circles and implement the steps of growing bacteria according to the correct laboratory standards.
