The Faculty of Pharmacy at Al-Bayan University, represented by the Dean and a group of faculty members, participated in the opening ceremony and activities of the First International Conference of Pharmacy Colleges in Iraq. Held under the theme “From Iraq to the World… Advancing Pharmaceutical Sciences,” the event took place at the Abriz Hall – Nakheel Baghdad Complex from February 13–15, 2026.
The conference was held under the auspices of the Committee of Deans of Pharmacy Colleges and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with the active participation of the Ministry of Health and the Iraq Pharmacists Syndicate.
Scientific Contribution
A notable highlight of the conference was the participation of lecturer Hassan Alaeddine Khalaf, who presented a scientific research paper. His work explored the most prominent methods for isolating and purifying medicinal plant compounds and their diagnostic techniques, aligning with modern research trends and enhancing the status of pharmaceutical scientific research.
Student Engagement
The event also featured a select group of students from the college who assisted in organizing the conference proceedings. This participation reflects the commitment of the college—represented by its deanship, staff, and students—to maintain an active presence in national scientific forums and to solidify its role in serving the academic and research community.
