In line with its ongoing commitment to promoting scientific research and building effective academic partnerships, the College of Nursing at Al-Bayan University, represented by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hassanein Faisal Ghazi, participated on Monday, April 6, 2026, in a specialized scientific seminar organized by the Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad.

delivered the seminar’s keynote lecture, titled: “From Research to Publication: Practical Steps Toward a Successful Research Paper.” The session was chaired by Prof. Dr. Basima Qasim Hassan, Director of the Promotion Unit at the Institute, with the participation of Assistant Instructor Rusul Muwaffaq as the rapporteur, and in the presence of a distinguished group of researchers and postgraduate students.
The lecture presented by the College provided a comprehensive overview of the integrated scientific methodology for preparing research papers—ranging from selecting the research idea and formulating the problem professionally, to navigating the peer-review process in high-impact international journals and avoiding common publishing pitfalls, while emphasizing the necessity of ensuring that research is free from plagiarism.
Key Outcomes of the Participation:
•⁠ ⁠Activating joint academic cooperation between Al-Bayan University and the University of Baghdad to improve the quality of scientific output.
•⁠ ⁠Highlighting international standards for selecting reputable journals and writing professional cover letters.
