Reflecting Al-Bayan University’s commitment to enhancing students’ practical skills and bridging the gap between academic knowledge and field application, the College of Nursing organized a scientific training visit for fourth-stage students (Psychiatric Health Nursing Branch) to Al-Rashad Teaching Hospital for Psychiatry on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. This visit is part of the clinical training requirements for the Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing course. During the visit, students observed the therapeutic and nursing protocols applied in psychiatric and mental healthcare and participated in providing health services under the supervision of specialized professors and the hospital’s medical and training staff.
Key Outcomes:
1. Applying theoretical nursing skills in a real clinical environment specialized in psychiatry.
2. Understanding diagnostic mechanisms, methodologies for managing psychiatric and mental illnesses, and patient rehabilitation programs.
3. Developing therapeutic communication skills and gaining a deeper understanding of the health and psychological needs of the community.
