In recognition of the humanitarian aspect and national duty and within the framework of enhancing the role of educational institutions in serving the community, the College of Health and Medical Techniques organized a volunteer campaign on 2026/4/15 targeting al-Rashad educational hospital for psychological and mental diseases, with the participation of a number of College lecturers and students and under the supervision of the dean of the college of Health and Medical Techniques Prof. Dr. Ghaith Ali Jasim.
The students were accompanied on this visit by the head of the media unit,lecturer duha Abdul Mohsen Muzahim, and the head of the website unit, teaching assistant,Humam Mohammed Zaidan
The initiative was launched to provide psychological and moral support to patients and contribute to improving their lives through a range of volunteer activities. The campaign included the distribution of basic supplies, as well as the distribution of in-kind gifts that brought joy and pleasure to the hearts of patients and contributed to enhancing their spirit of hope.
The campaign also focused on raising awareness of the importance of mental health and the need for humane treatment of patients.
In a humanitarian and patriotic stand, one of the members of the brave Iraqi army donated the Iraqi flag, which was presented to the hospital administration on behalf of the heroic Iraqi armed forces.
This initiative is part of a series of activities through which the College seeks to develop a spirit of responsibility among students.The hospital administration also expressed its thanks and gratitude for this visit, praising the efforts of the students and their role in spreading the positive spirit within the corridors of the hospital.
At the end of the visit, the participants expressed their happiness with this humanitarian experience, stressing that it added to them an important experience and strengthened their values of giving and belonging.
