In recognition of the humanitarian aspect and national duty and within the framework of enhancing the role of educational institutions in community service, the College of Health and Medical Techniques organized a voluntary campaign at the twenty ninth of april 2026 targeting Dar Al-Atta for the care of the elderly, with the participation of a number of college lecturers and students and under the supervision of the dean of the College of Health and Medical Techniques Prof.Dr.Ghaith Ali Jasim.
The students were accompanied on this visit by the head of the quality assurance department, Lecturer. Sarah Abdullateef Kadhim and the head of program accreditation unit , Teaching Assistant.Humam Mohammed Zaidan.
The initiative was launched to provide psychological and moral support to the residents and contribute to improving their lives through a range of volunteer activities. The campaign included the distribution of basic supplies, as well as the distribution of in-kind gifts that brought joy and pleasure to the hearts of the residents and contributed to enhancing their spirit of joy.
The campaign also focused on raising awareness of the importance of mental health and the need for humane treatment of the residents.
This initiative is part of a series of activities through which the College seeks to develop a spirit of responsibility among students. The administration of the House also expressed its thanks and gratitude for this visit, praising the efforts of the students and their role in spreading the positive spirit inside the corridors of the House.
At the end of the visit, the participants expressed their happiness with this humanitarian experience, stressing that it has added to them an important experience and strengthened their values of giving and belonging.
