The College of Law at Al-Bayan University participated in a workshop dedicated to discussing and drafting the Bill on the Prevention of Violent Extremism Leading to Terrorism. The workshop was chaired by the National Security Adviser, Mr. Qasim Al-Aboudi, and held at the Al-Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies, affiliated with the National Security Advisory.

The College of Law was represented at the workshop by its Dean, Professor Dr. Alaa Abdul Hassan Al-Silawi, alongside a distinguished group of specialists and representatives from governmental, academic, legal, and security institutions. The participants discussed several key issues related to the proposed legislation, mechanisms for preventing manifestations of violent extremism, and ways to address its underlying causes and contributing factors.

The participation of the College of Law at Al-Bayan University reflects its academic and scientific role in contributing to the development of national legislation and utilizing legal and academic expertise to address issues of societal and national priority, particularly those related to strengthening intellectual security and promoting the values of moderation, peaceful coexistence, and social cohesion.
