The College of Health and Medical Techniques at Al Bayan university organized a scientific training course entitled “ELISA Technique principles, applications, and interpretation of results”, on the fifth and sixth of September 2026. The course was presented by Assistant Lecturer Suhaib Raad Qasem, a lecturer at the Department of Medical Laboratory Techniques .
The most prominent themes of the course are :
– Definition of the technique: highlighting the ELISA technique (ELISA) as one of the most important immunological examination techniques used to detect antigens or antibodies depending on the qualitative link between them.
– Mechanism of action: explain the mechanism of the technique based on the use of an enzyme linked to an antibody to cause a color reaction, allowing its measurement and interpretation to determine the presence of the target substance and know its concentration.
– Practical applications: to clarify the wide scope of the use of this technique in the fields of medical diagnostics, detection of diseases, conducting laboratory research.
