Within the framework of its academic activities and its continuous quest to improve scientific reality and keep abreast of modern medical developments, the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Health and Medical Techniques organized a scientific training course entitled:
(Genetic diseases: from gene mutation to molecular diagnosis)
Which was kindly delivered by Assistant Lecturer Suhaib Raad Qasim.
The lecture aimed to shed light on genetic diseases as disorders caused by mutations or structural imbalances in the genetic material, and to show the extent of their direct impact on the physiological functions and gene expression of proteins.
The lecture also reviewed the pivotal role played by advanced molecular diagnostic techniques in the accurate monitoring of these mutations and the genetic identification of the disease.
Emphasize the critical importance of these techniques in achieving early diagnosis, providing a deeper understanding of pathogenetic mechanisms at the molecular level, paving the way for accurately guiding therapeutic pathways and improving the quality of health care provided to patients.
