As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month activities, the College of Nursing held an awareness lecture for second-year students, delivered by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Wafaa Mohammed Atoof. The lecture addressed breast cancer, its most prominent symptoms and warning signs, and the importance of early detection in enhancing treatment opportunities and improving health outcomes.
The lecture covered the key symptoms that require attention and the necessity of visiting healthcare institutions upon noticing any abnormal changes in the breast, in addition to emphasizing the importance of early screening and health awareness in reducing the complications of the disease.
This event comes as part of the Deanship’s commitment to promoting health culture among students and raising their awareness of the importance of disease prevention and early detection, thereby contributing to the preparation of nursing professionals equipped with the knowledge and awareness needed to spread health messages throughout the community.
Together towards a more aware society… Early detection is hope for a better life.
