​As part of its scientific and academic activities aimed at developing practical skills, the Continuing Education Unit at the college of Health and Medical Techniques at Al Bayan university organized a specialized training course under the title “common mistakes in medical laboratories” (Common mistakes in Medical Laboratories). The events of the course were held over two days for the period from 10 to 11 October 2026.
​The course witnessed an active participation in the presentation of Scientific Sessions by each of assistant Lecturer Sarah Luay subhi and assistant lecturer Shorouk Sabah Hussein
​Course themes and objectives:
The training course dealt with highlighting the most important and most mistakes that occur in medical laboratories, focusing on the importance of exceeding them to ensure compliance with the approved health standards. The scientific curriculum of the course also included providing a detailed explanation about the technical errors that occur, and reviewing the scientific mechanisms and how to avoid them by covering the theoretical side.
​This scientific initiative comes within the plan of the college and the continuing education unit to improve the reality of laboratory work, and to raise the awareness of students and medical staff of the importance of accuracy and reliability in laboratory tests, which reflects positively on the quality of health care provided to patients and the avoidance of errors affecting medical diagnosis.
