The University of Al Bayan concluded the football league championship which witnessed the participation of eight teams that brought together the university students and their professors. The presidency of the university honored the team from the College of Pharmacy for winning the trophy, while the team of the College of Pathological Analysis Technologies was the runner-up and was honored by the Dean of their College. Prizes were awarded to the best player, as well as to the tournament's top scorer.

To strengthen cooperation between institutions of higher education and the development of scientific level for students, Al Bayan and Baghdad universities signed a memorandum of understanding according to scientific requirements based on solid foundations in the fields of research, teaching, and development. The memorandum dealt with enhancing the ways of developing work between the two universities in the use of laboratories, the central library, and partnership in scientific research. On Saturday, February 11, 2017, the College of Law students started taking their midterm exams. The students of the College of Pharmacy and the College of Business Administration took the final exams for the first Semester. The students of the College of Pathological Analysis Technologies took the theoretical examinations for the first semester. The President of the University visited the exams halls to see the progress of the examination process, wishing the students more excellence and diligence and their studies.

Al-Bayan University signed a bilateral memorandum of understanding with the University of Huddersfield from the United Kingdom on Wednesday, February 8, 2017. The two universities agreed to cooperate in several scientific fields: joint research projects, exchange faculty members, and the organization of collective academic activities like seminars, lectures, and conferences. Also, they agreed to exchange educational materials and other information of common interest. The two universities emphasized the opportunity to students for the development of their scientific and cognitive knowledge, and to continue the communication between Al Bayan University and the University of Huddersfield on a regular basis.
