Al-Bayan University Organizes Awareness Activity on Climate Change and Global Warming

As part of the implementation of the National Plan for Women, Peace, and Security 2025, the Women's Empowerment Division at The Technical Engineering College – Al-Bayan University organized an awareness activity addressing the impact and risks of climate change, in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The activity featured three awareness posters, along with a scientific lecture titled “Global Warming” delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Yasmen Abdulaziz on Tuesday, November 15, 2025. The event aimed to raise environmental awareness and strengthen students’ understanding of global climate challenges.

Al-Bayan University Organizes a Training Course on Solar Cell Systems

As part of the Continuing Education Center’s training programs, the Technical Engineering College at Al-Bayan University organized a scientific course titled “Solar Cell Systems” in the Continuing Education Hall at the college’s main building. Part of the attendance of the Head of the Quality Assurance Division at the Institutional Excellence Conference

The lecturer Sarah Abdulateef Kadhim, Head of Quality Assurance Department at the College of Health and Medical Techniques, attended the conference in 2025/4/15 held in Erbil Governorate, which focused on institutional distinction for universities. Several important points were discussed, including how to highlight the institution among the rest of the educational institutions, according to European standards and controls, in order to give Al-Bayan University, with all its teaching and administrative formations, the cornerstone in the field of distinction towards what is best in terms of quality of performance in education and learning.

Self-Evaluation Report Main Committee Meeting

The main committee met, chaired by the Dean of the College of Health and Medical Techniques (Prof. Dr. Ghaith Ali Jasim), and attended by the Dean's Assistants for scientific and Administrative Affairs, department heads, the Head of the Quality Assurance section , and the Head of the Program Accreditation Unit . The meeting discussed mechanisms for implementing improvement plans following the completion of the self-evaluation report, along with the improvement plans and conformity report Emphasis has been placed on implementing improvement plans across all standards in order to address the weak indicators in the Medical Laboratory Techniques Department program.
