College of Nursing Sets Up Rufaida Al-Aslamiya Tent on the Road of Imam Musa al-Kadhim Pilgrims

College of Nursing / Al-Bayan University participated in the memorial ceremonies of the martyrdom of Imam Musa al-Kadhim (PBUH). Faculty and students established the Rufaida Al-Aslamiya Tent during the days of the ritual. The students provided daily medical, health, and therapeutic services to the pilgrims. The services included measuring vital signs as well as giving treatments for simple cases. The students provided these various nursing services under the supervision of the college administration. The Faculty of Nursing at Al-Bayan University, in cooperation with the National Center for Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS), organized a scientific seminar entitled "Human Immunodeficiency, Prevention and Treatment" on Monday, March 25, 2019, on Al-Bayan Conference Hall. Dr. Bahjat Abdul Reza Al-Saadi, Director of the National Center, delivered a valuable lecture on this subject, which poses a great danger to the society. In cooperation with The Consulting Clinic for Chest and Respiratory Diseases and School Health Unit of Al-Baya’a Health Center, College of Nursing organized an educational seminar entitled “Tuberculosis: Prevention and Treatment” to commemorate World Tuberculosis (TB) Day. The seminar was held in Al-Bayan Conference Hall on Tuesday March 19, 2019. The presenter was specialist physician Mahmoud Jabir Shakir, the director of the Consulting Clinic, and he explained the disease along with its causes, diagnosis, types, symptoms, prevention, and treatment.
